This notice covers information submitted through ususapp.com. It does not describe client information stored inside the Usus desktop application, which is being designed to remain on the user's own device unless the user deliberately enables an external service.
Information we collect
If you subscribe to the Legal Technology Brief or join the founders program, we collect your email address, the page where you joined, and the date and time of the request. Our hosting and security providers may also process ordinary request data such as IP address, browser information, and security signals to deliver the site and prevent abuse.
How we use it
We use this information to send requested editorial and product updates, manage the founders program, respond to requests, understand interest in Usus, and protect the website. We do not sell personal information or use subscriber addresses for third-party advertising.
Service providers and retention
The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Subscriber addresses are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database and may later be transferred to an email service provider if one is adopted. We retain an address while the requested subscription or founders program is active, or until the subscriber asks us to remove it, unless a longer period is required for security or legal reasons.
Your choices
You may unsubscribe from emails or ask us to access, correct, or delete your subscription information by emailing [email protected]. Requests may require reasonable verification.
Changes and questions
We may update this notice as the product and website evolve. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
